It’s not easy loosing a loved one. And I wish there was something I could say or do to take away the pain and grief you’re feeling now but the truth is, there’s not. The best advise I can give you is to turn to the Lord and trust him because only he can give you the peace and comfort you’re longing for. In the days to come, there will be times when you feel sad or depressed. When that happens, think back to the times when this loved one put a smile on your face or made you laugh. It won’t ever be the same without this loved one but with time and God’s help, it will become easier to accept. Today, you’ve had an opportunity to celebrate the life of this loved one but today also serves as a reminder for each one of us that a day like this is coming for us; a day when we will receive our goodbyes from family and friends. Will we be ready? Heaven or Hell? Which will it be for you? Jesus is the way to Heaven. Jesus is not one of many ways! He is the only way! Jesus himself said “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” Please consider your spiritual condition and if you have questions, see me after the service because there is nothing worse than dying without Jesus. We’re all promised an eternity in one of two places but we’re not promised tomorrow. For some of us, today may be all we have. And now for the dove release; White doves are considered a symbol of peace, love, hope, freedom and the Holy Spirit. The releasing of white doves at a funeral, is our last tribute to the soul of the dearly departed. Many families say the dove release helps begin the grieving process. The experience helps to symbolize the “letting go” of a loved one and the soul setting out on a journey to eternity. When doves are released, they may land close by giving you an opportunity to observe them. Or they may become airborne and fly away.
LAKESIDE LOFTS has been raising Homers since the early 60s. We have shipped birds all over the United States from the east coast to the west coast and from the deep south to the far north by way of the United States Postal Service. We have shipped birds year round in all types of weather and we raise birds year round.
We require payment to be in the form of a U.S. Postal Money Order due to the fact that the post office will not accept any other form of payment, except cash, when we ship the birds. Please do not send a deposit or payment unless you are serious about wanting birds because deposits and payments are not refundable. We ship Monday through Wednesday after receiving payment. We deliver healthy birds to our local post office and then text the customer a picture of the shipping label, showing the tracking number, so the customer knows when to expect the birds arrival.
Although we no longer race, our birds are from our racing stock where we have had birds make it home in one day from 400 mile races. We raise birds for our own release business for funerals, weddings and memorial services as well as supply breeding stock to many others in the same business all over the U.S.

Local Pick Up Is Not Available unless buying 10 or more birds and they must be paid for in advance by a USPS Money Order made out to and mailed to David Autry, 411 Redbud Lake Road, Lexington TN 38351. After we receive your money order, we will contact you when the birds are ready for pick up.
